O network, where art thou?
Last week’s launch of a redesigned and reengineered Delicious brought many surprises, not least frustrating among which was the disappearance of any interface to browse links from your network of friends on the service. Thankfully, Delicious’ engineering blog indicates that functionality is in the queue to be addressed:
Networks: We have all network data, and are working on rolling this out with our user feeds in the near future.
It’s hard to imagine how such a key component of the service was not marked for deployment on day one.
Regardless, there is a work-around for devoted Delicious users who aren’t ready to jump to Pinboard or another competitor. Just add the following feed to your RSS reader of choice, inserting your own username:

You might find, as I have, that consuming your friends’ link lists along with your RSS feeds is a nice optimization of your daily content discovery habits.
